Library and residential development, Portishead

In response to a call for development proposals from North Somerset Council for the provision of a new library in Portishead, P G Enterprises was appointed as preferred developer ahead of a number of major national house builders. NVB Architects have designed a landmark building as a "one-stop shop" for the Council.

The project comprises the construction of a 600m2, library 200m2 community space and 42 one and two bedroom residential apartments. The design of the facility will be critical and is a key objective in delivering a state of the art building.

We are particularly pleased with our appointment as we believe we have been successful on the back of our track record as reliable and credible partners who have the ability to deliver on promises. Our attitude has been to work with all the relevant stakeholders on this project in an inclusive and consultative manner including library personnel, planners and the community.

Site assembly is currently taking place and we anticipate completion of the project in 2005
